“Lions and tigers and bears … oh my!
… and witches and soldiers and pirates and a break-dancing skeleton … oh my!”
Our first theatre project in Leeds was a collaboration with First_Floor at West Yorkshire Playhouse (now Leeds Playhouse), delivering a series of workshops to explore characters and story telling. The group devised an entirely original fairy-tale, an epic journey to rescue a stolen giant strawberry.
We added props, costumes and a great narrator (thanks Martin!)
The ideas generated in the sessions were rehearsed and developed into a public performance in the main space at First_Floor.
We’re proud to say that there are cast members who performed in this show who still participate in Bright Sparks projects today. It’s great to have an ongoing relationship with them and to see their skills and confidence grow.
