★ ★ ★ ★ ★     Aspire CBS Customer Choice Creativity Award 2019

"An evil time-travelling genius has kidnapped Elvis from history.
Now Elvis must be saved ... so he can save the world."

Working with members of Leep1 (Leeds People First) and Aspire CBS we created this rocking and rolling roller-coaster of a show about time-travel, friendship, freedom, technology and Elvis.

Produced in collaboration with the amazing team from stage@leeds, it represents our most ambitious project to date and our proudest moment. We performed a matinee and an evening show to two packed houses and the audience response was overwhelming. In the latter part of 2019 (and for the first time for a Bright Sparks show) we decided to re-rehearse and stage the show for a second time, due to demand from cast members and audiences alike.

"Simply incredible. The show blew my mind!"
Scot - audience member

"I laughed. I cried. I got up and danced."
Christine - audience member

"Fighting off the tears in my eyes, I turned to my friend to say, 'This is quite emotional isn't it?', only to see him in tears too!"
Daz - audience member

"Pure joy."
Steve Ansell - Artistic Director, stage@leeds

"As we were making the show, we realised that Elvis represents freedom and the Evil Genius represents oppression. Beneath all the laughter, the lavish costumes, the songs and the dances, there is a serious message that strikes a powerful chord.”
Marc Walton - Technical Manager
